Terrance Joseph Alcock (Terry) passed away on January 21, 2016 in the comfort of his home and his loving family after a courageous 8 & 1/2 year battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Kimberly Alcock, daughters Kayla (Cory) Kazimour, Tayli Sullivan, and son Keegen (Ashley) Alcock. He will be greatly missed by the mother of his children, Sharee Schiro-Alcock and his grandchildren: Jake, Liam, Brett, Brody, and Adeline. He also leaves behind 7 loving brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews. Born September 18th 1950 in Chicago, Illinois Terry moved to Wauconda, Illinois at the age of 3. As a young adult, Terry attended barber college and opened a successful barber shop. At this time he also began his 29 year career as a firefighter/paramedic for the Wauconda Fire Department. After retiring from the Wauconda Fire Department, he moved to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Missing his career as a firefighter, he volunteered for the Bluffton Township Fire Department. Also missing his career as a barber, he shared his creative talents at many local country clubs namely Country Club of Hilton Head, Colleton River, and Berkley Hall where he became known as "Terry the barber". Terry will be remembered as a loving husband, father and papa with a wonderful sense of humor. He will be loved and remembered by many far and wide. A celebration and remembrance of Terry's life will be scheduled at a future date.
