Funeral services were held at Pacific Grove yesterday for Austin J. Rix, 64, San Francisco businessman, who died Thursday at Monterey.

He was president of the Rix Company, an air compressor manufacturing firm founded by his family. He had made his home on the Monterey peninsula for several years.

Surviving are his widow, Ione Pastori , operatic soprano; 2 daughters, Mrs. Felice Hall of San Mateo and Mrs. Mabel Meserve of Santa Cruz, and 2 sisters of Los Angeles.
