George's father Humphrey G. Albee--a native of New Hampshire--married Jennie Olive, the New York-born daughter of Richard and Paulina Curren, at Chelsea on 13 Apr 1874. They were the parents of two sons, George and Richard, the latter of whom died early.

Although both of his parents gave their status as married, they were enumerated in separate households after the 1880 census.

In 1910, George was working as a clerk in the railroad office at Medford, and residing with his mother. In that same year, he married Evelyn Graham.

George continued to support his mother, who was widowed in 1920. He later moved his family to Reading, and appears there on the 1940 census with his family.
