Jesse was a member of the United States Army , where he proudly served four years. Jesse was preceded in death by his mother, brother: Eddie Templeton, sister: Gloria Jean White, and brother-in-law: Lee Otis Harrison. He is survived by his devoted wife: Joyce Thirdgood, son:Jay Thirdgood (Candace), daughters: Latrina Thirdgood and Brittany Thirdgood (George), grandsons: Larry Perry and Gaberil Hill, brothers: James Darby, Charlie Darby, sisters: Jane E. Harrison, Helen White (Vernon), and Carrie Blanks (Leonard), brother-in-laws: Melvin Wright (Arleda), Turner Wright, Jr. (Dorene), and Jimmy Wright, sisters-in-laws: Willie Jean Lamar (Jerald) and Alice Larry(Ivory), faithful nephews: Authur Stone (Eartha), Troy Wyatt (J'Mara), James (Red) Stone, and Antoine Parker, faithful nieces: Eddie Major, Nicole White, Stephanie Tucker, Jasmine Darby, and Camika Mitchell, good friends: Earl Reece and Charles Scott, along with a host of additional relatives and friends
