Caroline "Carrie" Estelle Fowler was born Nov. 1 1895 in Missouri when her father, John C Fowler was working there for Barber Asphalt. Her mother, Caroline Fowler Newman was also living there. Carrie married Alfred Samuel Tipping Mason around 1919 and had 1 child, daughter Joy Terese Mason. They divorced around 1929 and she never remarried. She lived with her sister, Edna Fowler Williams and husband Samuel C Williams, in West Orange for part of her life but later moved to Georgia to live with her daughter Joy & her husband Ruben Hayden on their farm. She cared for her sister Terese Fowler there from about 1960 until Terese passed in 1962. She lived there and also in West Orange caring for her mother before her death. After her daughter Joy died in 1975 she continued to live with her son-in-law in Florida until she died in June 1978. She is buried in a 4 person family plot owned by Ruben Cone Hayden. Joy is in plot 2 and Carrie is in plot 3. Carrie does not have a headstone. Ruben is buried in Georgia and not in the plot next to Joy.
