MOORESVILLE Briana Michelle Martinez, 17, went home to be with her Heavenly Father, Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015. Briana was born April 17, 1998 in Iredell County to James Anthony Martinez and Kisha Manriquez Martinez, of Davidson N.C. She was a senior at South Iredell High School and was to graduate in January 2016. She was a member of HOSA at South Iredell High. Briana enjoyed all types of music, going shopping, spending time with friends, attending sporting events, traveling to the beach and being with her brothers and sister, and babysitting. She was really a "Daddy's Little Girl". Kade Nichols is the lucky young man that Briana held so deep in her heart and she wanted to be with. They spent time at softball games, watching movies, taking mountain trips, and just being there for each other. Briana was excited about continuing her education in the health care field as she always put the need and care of others first and foremost. Family members left to always cherish her memories include her parents; brothers, James Anthony Keith Martinez, Caleb Thomas Strong; sister, Aaliyah Taylynn Martinez; grandparents, Keith Manriquez and fianc‚e, Glenys Readling of Mooresville, N.C., John and Cheryl Ridenhour of Cleveland, N.C.; a number of aunts and uncles, cousins and numerous friends; and special love, Kade Nichols. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Hubbard officiating. Receiving of friends and guest will be from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service.
