William T. "Bill" Brunson was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma from which he holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, both active and reserve, where he rose to the rank of Lt. Commander. He retired from Areva, Inc. after thirty-six years in the nuclear power industry.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sarah A. Brunson of Lynchburg, Va.; his son, William Drury Brunson; and daughter-in-law, Jodi L. Brunson; granddaughter, Moira E.A. Brunson now of Chaska, Minn.; his aunt, Pauline P. Johnson of Oklahoma City, Okla.; his nephew, Nicholas B. McDonald of Norman, Okla., among his extended family.
A private service was held followed by cremation. Interment will be conducted at a future date in accordance with his wishes.
