HOMAS HARMAN was born in June 1810 in Reading, Berkshire, his father, THOMAS, was 25 and his mother, ELIZABETH, was 23. He married KEZIA BENSON on July 5, 1829, in Reading, Berkshire. They had 12 children in 30 years. He worked as a wood stone carver and gilder, he died on February 6, 1873, at the age of 62. His linage through their daughter Sarah Jane
Harman leads directly to the current 18th DUKE of HAMILTON Alexander Douglas-Hamilton.His plot no longer shows any evidence of graves and has been grassed over. Part of this area is now the rose garden of the crematorium.
