Katherine V. Biggs, 104, of Muskogee, Oklahoma entered Heaven's gates on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 and can now be found skipping down the streets of gold. She was born on Monday, March 31, 1913, in Little White River, SD, and was the daughter of the late Russel Joseph Vaughan formerly of Muskogee, OK and the late Eloise (EGE) formerly of Santa Fe, NM.
September 1, 1932, Katherine married Lewis Theodore Clancy, whom she called "the love of her life". Together they had three boys. In July 1942, Katherine and the boys moved alone to Muskogee after Lewis became ill. In Muskogee Katherine raised her family and worked 16 years for the Department of Child Welfare, followed by 27 years for the Veterans Administration. In June 1978 she was preceded in death by her 2nd husband of 22 years, Arlis Biggs. After retiring in 1985, Katherine volunteered at the Masonic Temple for 10 years. Following a car accident in 2007, Katherine gave up driving and moved to Pleasant Valley Care Home. Katherine had a lifelong devotion to the Baptist church. She attended faithfully and was involved at many levels. The library at the First Baptist church in Muskogee is named in her honor.
She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Theodore Clancy; step-son, Harold Biggs; and brothers, Robert Vaughan, Sr. and Charles "David" Vaughan.
Katherine is survived by her sons, Lewis R. Clancy and wife Judith of Wichita, KS, and Erin B. Clancy and wife Elizabeth of Norman, OK; one half sister, Ruth Adams and husband John of Maryneal, TX; grandchildren, Keith Clancy of Owens Cross Roads, AL, Karen Miller and husband Chuck of Wichita, KS, and Susan Clancy of Vancouver, British Columbia; great-grandchildren, Melissa Williamson and husband Damian of Wichita, KS, Andrew Miller and wife Tiffani of Wichita, KS, Nathan Miller and wife Melissa of Lubbock, TX, and Rebecca Miller of Wichita, KS; great great-grandchildren, Avery Miller, Levi Miller and Lydia Williamson of Wichita, KS.

A celebration of Katherine's life will be 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Pack and Rev. Rex Wilkinson officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Mausoleum.
