Funeral services for Mrs. Olivia Yankee, 84, formerly of Memorial Drive, who died Tuesday morning at Community Hospital, Oconto Falls, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, the Rev. Ralph Backman officiating. Burial will be in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers. She had been a resident of Peltier Convalescent Home, Oconto Falls.
Mrs. Yankee, nee Olivia Braunlick, was born Aug. 22, 1885, at Schmoellen, Germany, a daughter of the late Bernard and Mary Dorfel Braunlick. When she was 17 the family brought her to Butternut, Wis., where she was married Dec. 22, 1908 to George Yankee. The family moved to Two Rivers in 1920. Her husband died in 1955 at Spruce, where the couple later resided.
Surving are two daughters, Mrs. Ben Gratton of Rt. 2, Suring, and Mrs. Ruth Shemchak of Oconto; two brothers, William of Two Rivers, and ERic Braunlick of Sacramento, Calif., four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
