He moved with his family to California and Arizona before moving to Kellogg, Idaho, where he graduated from high school. After graduation, he moved to Vancouver, Wash., to work in the shipyards. He married Ethel M. (Thomas) Lamb on 16 Dec 1942 in Superior, MT. They lived in Vancouver until the end of World War II and then moved to Post Falls for a short time. They lived in Milan, Wash., and Spokane before moving to Lucile, Idaho, in 1976. He worked as an operating engineer.
Ethel preceded him in death in 1990 and he moved to Lewiston in December 1993.
He was a former member of the Moose Lodge at Spokane and enjoyed fishing and mining.
He was survived by four daughters, a son, a sister, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A brother and infant sister preceded him in death.
