Eldine H. Bram Adams, 93, died Sunday afternoon, July 15, 2001, in Living Center East, Cedar Rapids, after a brief illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, where friends may call from 5 to 9 tonight. The Rev. DeLane Wright will officiate Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.
Survivors include her son, Bruce of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Jake Bram of Oskaloosa; and three sisters, Matilda White of Humbolt, Betty Ripley of Perry and Jennie Norden of Denver, Colo.
Also surviving are two sisters-in-law, Opal Bram of Clear Lake and Pam Bram of Humboldt; and several nieces and nephews.
Eldine was born Sept. 7, 1917, near Renwick, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Jennie Rasmussen Bram. During World War II, she moved to Cedar Rapids and worked at Quaker Oats. She married Charles O. Adams at the family farm near Renwick on April 8, 1947. They moved to the Tipton area in 1956. Charles died Nov. 28, 1979. Eldine won many awards at the Cedar County Fair for her fudge and penuche candies and her chocolate cakes. She was also a devoted caregiver to her husband for many years.
