Eloise Dye

A graveside service for Eloise Dye, 85, of Lamar, MO., formerly of Taylor, was held January 16, at 2 p.m., at the Ord City Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Chase officiating.
Mrs. Dye died January 12, 1995 at Lamar, MO. She was born August 25, 1909 in Taylor, Neb., to Ben and Hilda (Anderson) Aldrich. She attended school and graduated from Taylor High School. She then took several college courses and taught school for several years in Loup county. On August 14, 1929 she married Floyd Dye in Phillipsburg, Kan. In 1950 the couple moved to Lamar, MO where she worked as a waitress at the Travelers Hotel.
She enjoyed bowling and was a member of numerous leagues for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd of Lamar, Mo.; a daughter, Emmara Hepp of Olympia, Wash.; two brothers, LaVern Aldrich of Ord and Oscar Aldrich of Coldwell, Idaho; three sisters, LaVina Strohl of Taylor, Vera Boelter of Anaheim, Calif., and Fern Witt of Belton, Mo.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
