Ralph Eden Atherton, 78, of Templeton RD#1, died Friday, Oct. 3, 1986 at his home.

He was born Feb. 23, 1908, in Clarion, to Ralph E. and Ada (Croyle) Atherton.

He was retired from Drexel Refractories of Kittanning. He was a member of the Templeton Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Janetta (Anderson) Atherton; three sons, Ronald E. Atherton of Jeannette RD#1, Donald E. Atherton of Loma Linda, CA, and Richard J Atherton of Kittanning RD#1; one daughter, Mrs. Deric(Kathy) Powell of Templeton; two brothers, Frank and Albert Atherton both of Templeton RD#1; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 12 brothers and sisters and two grandsons.

Funeral Seriices wil be held Monday, Oct. 6, 1986 at the Kennedy Funeral Home, Kittanning at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James L. Monticue officiating. Burial will follow in the Cochran Cemetery.
