Jack "Pinkie" Sadler, 95, of Valley Mills, passed away Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, in a Valley Mills Nursing Home. Funeral services were held Saturday morning, Sept. 16, at the First Baptist Church. Interment was in the Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home.

Jack was born in Valley Mills, Texas, to the late Logan and Nancy Sadler, the youngest of nine children. On March 31, 1936, he married Oma McLennan and they had eight children.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Oma; a daughter, Mary Hairston; and sons, Homer and Jack Sadler.

Survivors include daughters, Leoma Hemphill and husband, Benton, of Waco, and Diane Diggs, of Austin; sons, Larry Sadler and wife, Ocie, Freddy Sadler and wife, Arlene, and Billy Sadler and wife, Mattie, all of Valley Mills; a devoted goddaughter, Sharon Anderson; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
