Everet Achtein, who died at the home of his brother-in-law, Mr. Coldyke, on Jefferson aveuno early on Saturday morning, was buried on Sabbath afternoon. The funeral services were held at 3 :30 and were conducted by the Rev. J. DJW. Heazelton of the Methodist Episcopal church. The members of the local lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, of which the deceased was a member, turned out in a body and marched in the funeral procession from the house to the cemetery. Mr. Achtein was a man highly esteemed by all who knew him. His wife died two years ago, but he is survived by two children, and a sister, Mrs. Coldyek, and a brother, whose name is John. Beautiful floral designs were placed near the casket by the officers of the Morganza reform school and the Odd Fellows. The interment was in the Speer Spring cemetery.
