Marcia Rue Irvin (Martin) 75 of Kirksville passed away Tuesday (January 26, 2016) at Locke Haven Nursing Home in Macon, MO.

Marcia was born September 26, 1940 in rural Scotland County, MO, to Virgil and Marjorie Martin (Weldon).

She graduated from Scotland Co. with the class of 1958. She married Dave Irvin on May 4, 1984 and he survives.

Marcia is also survived by her sister, Sherry Laws (Laverne); sons, Carlon Sayre (Shirley), Kevin Sayre (Kellie); daughters, Robin McRae, and Tammy Newland (Rodney); step children, Matthew and Tammy; grandchildren, Allicia Parke (James), Heather Newland, Jeremiah Newland, Cassie Sayre, Jeremy Sayre (Trista), Derek Sayre, and Tonya Sayre and fiancé Greg; great grandchildren, Madison Newland, Skyler and Savana Parke, Paige Frymoyer, Landen White, Davin Anders, Draven and Ryker Dixion; her beloved dog, Joy, and a host of many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dalby, Vern, Russell, Rex and Jay Martin; sister, Sue Gaddis, and her very loved granddaughter, Kayla Beth Ahland.

Marcia’s love for photography (always with a camera in her hand) resulted in many albums she made for family and friends, including many of the wonderful trips her and Dave took will always be cherished.

Her love for travel included her bucket list to see all the 50 states, her last one to visit on her 70th birthday was Hawaii, where she spent two weeks with Allicia and family on the island of Oahu. She also had the opportunity to visit Germany with grandson, Derek and his mother on a school trip in 2009.

She had numerous jobs throughout her life time with the most enjoyable one being a school bus driver. Each and every child she came in contact with; knew how very special they were.

Marcia devoted much of her life to family and friends, and even gave her brother, Russell a kidney in 1992.

“Goodbyes are not forever, are not the end; it simply means I’ll miss you, until we meet again”

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday (February 1, 2016) at the First Christian Church in Downing, MO. Family will greet friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the church.
