Eileen Oiler Secrest, age 89, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Emeritus at Hillen Vale.

She was born on February 17, 1925 in Greenwood, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Bert and Hazel (Allen) Oiler.

Eileen had been employed by Ohio Bell as a switchboard operator and retail sales, but spent the majority of her life as a homemaker. She was also a longtime member of Mulberry St. United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her three children, Jane (Gary) Weaver of Gahanna; Sarah (David) Kolarik of Grove City and David (LaVern) Secrest of Mount Vernon, along with her seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Eileen was preceded in death by her husband Elmer, to whom she was married to for 61 years, brothers, Roger and Richard Oiler and a sister Ruth Burns.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 31st -11:30 am at Senecaville United Methodist Church, 206 High St., Senecaville, Ohio. Friends may call at the church a half hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Senecaville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Eileen's memory to the American Cancer Society.
