MRS. ELLEN TONRY
Mrs. Ellen Tonry, mother of Aldermand Richard J. Tonry died Saturday at her home 7715 4th ave. She was the widow of Richard Tonry and resided in Bay Ridge for the past 30 years. Two sons James and Alderman Tonry; two daughters Mrs. Isabelle Ehlers and Mrs George Schaefer, and one sister Mrs. Elizabeth McCarthy survive her. The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 am from the home; thence to the Church of Our Lady of Angels, where a solemn mass of requiem will be celebrated. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mrs. Tonry fractured her hip in a fall at her home a week ago. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Socety attached to her church.
