Robert C. “Geno” Klunck, 67, of Sheboygan was called home to his Lord on Monday, February 1, 2016 and was joined by all his loved ones who went before him. He was born on January 30, 1949 in Sheboygan, son of the late Christ & Charlotte (Fesing) Klunck. He was a 1967 graduate of Sheboygan North High School. On May 21, 1971 he was united in marriage to Marjorie Diefenthaler at St. Peter United Church of Christ. He had worked at Armor Leather, Kohler Company & Vinyl Plastics but mainly worked in the construction trade. He especially enjoyed working with his sons at Quality Concrete & Construction. Robert was a natural athlete who enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, bowling and pool. His greatest love was football and was proud to have been able to play semi-pro football for the Sheboygan Redwings along side his brother Bill and buddies, Pat Holm, Curt Brost, Greg Schwarz, Dennis Steffensmeier and Kenny Hagenow. He enjoyed spending time with his family, taking care of his grand kids especially collecting & organizing baseball & football cards for them. Geno was a gentle man who loved his family unconditionally. His greatest love was for his three sons. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Marjorie, three sons; Richard (Amy), Jason, Christopher (Andrea) and grandchildren;Quintin, Kirstin, Caleigh, Abby, Kolby, Joey and Mason. He is further survived by his brothers, Bill (Karen) Klunck, Jim (Jolene) Klunck, Larry Klunck, brothers-in-law, John (Nancy) Diefenthaler, Jim Diefenthaler, Tom Diefenthaler, mother-in-law, Jean Diefenthaler, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents,Christ & Charlotte Klunck, his sisters & brother-in-law, Marye (Marlin) Kees, Christine Wagner and father-in-law, Willard “Lefty” (Dorothy) Diefenthaler. Cremation has taken place with burial at Schleswig Cemetery, Town of Schleswig, Rockville. A memorial service will held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home (815 6th St., Kiel) with Pastor Steven Schultz officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
