Rebecca "Beccy" L. McQuary, 59, of Idaho Falls, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, at The Gables of Ammon from the insidious complications of early onset Alzheimer's.

Beccy was born in Pocatello, Idaho, on Dec. 6, 1956, to Rex Leo and Leonora Elizabeth (Emory) Duke and was raised in Pocatello with her two brothers, Gregory Miles Duke and Ronald Rex Duke, where she graduated from Highland High School in 1975.

While working at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory, Beccy met her husband, John. They fell in love and were married July 16, 1977. They have four children: Barrie Jo, Ryan, Curtis and Tawnie.

Beccy cherished her children and loved to "get something to eat" on Friday nights with them and John. She also liked to travel and camp with them in the family RV and was a talented homemaker who enjoyed sewing and making beautiful craft items to make her house a home for her family.

Beccy had a beautiful spirit that was felt by all including her pets that she adored. In October of 2014, Barrie Jo and Brandon blessed Beccy with her first grandchild, Indra.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and faithfully served in many callings. She particularly loved working with the youth in the church.

Beccy is survived by John, her husband of 38 years; children, Barrie Jo Moss (Brandon) of Boise, Ryan of Idaho Falls, Curtis of Idaho Falls and Tawnie Moss (Jared) of Logan, Utah; granddaughter, Indra; mother, Leonora; and brother, Gregory.

She was preceded in death by her father and brother, Ronald.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2020 S. Charlotte Drive in Idaho Falls. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will follow at New Sweden Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers with Encompass Home Health and Hospice, The Gables of Ammon and Mt. Vernon assisted living centers for their loving care of our mother and family during her time with them.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Research Fund at www.alz.org.
