Fred Robert (Bob) Bjorklund was born on June 13, 1922 in Clinton, Washington to Karl and Anna Sophia Bjorklund.
He passed away peacefully on January 25, 2016 at the age of 93.
Bob was the youngest of seven children. His family moved shortly after his birth to the Crown Hill neighborhood of Seattle. The family homestead is still in the Bjorklund family to this day.
Bob joined the United States Army and served in India on the railroad during WWII.
Once his service was completed, he was an electrician for Epcon Sign Company and Heath Sign Company.
He was part of the team that put up many historical neon signs in Seattle, including the P-I Globe, and Art's Food Center (QFC Holman) sign. It was there that he met his beautiful wife, Jewel whom he was married to for 55 years.
