A.W. "Buddy" Batey, 57, of Golden, died Monday in Bonham, Texas. He was born April 28, 1938, in Annona, Texas.

Survivors include five children, Ronald Gene Batey of Golden, and Melodie, Crystal, Louise and John Allen Batey, all of Wisconsin; six sisters, Murl Williamson and VerLois Green, both of Idabel, Mildred Mauldin of Bogota, Texas, Billie Hines of Clarksville, Texas, Erma Beckham of Atlanta, Texas, and Bonnie Knight of Duncan, Ariz.; and four brothers, James Farrier of Moberly, Mo., Kenneth Batey of Sasakwa, Burl Batey of Broken Bow and Earl Batey of Idabel.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, Idabel.
