Edward E. Thaxton The 'funeral for Edward Elmer Thaxton, 57, of Temple, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at H.L. Carmichael & Sons Chapel, with burial in Roseland Cemetery in Fulton County. Mr. Thaxton, a retired traffic engineer for the city of Atlanta, died Monday. ' Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Frances Richards Thaxton; daughters, Mrs. Susan Snipes of Forest Park, Mrs. Carol Edwards of Carrollton and Mrs. Rhonda Jones of Douglasville; sons, Robert Thaxton and John Thaxton, both of Marietta, and Walter Thaxton of Loganville; sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Owens of Atlanta and Mrs. Betty Merchant of College Park; and brothers, Bobby Thax-;' ton and Frank ' Thaxton, -both of Jonesboro.
