Earl Bartlett, 102, of Beatrice, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at The Kensington in Beatrice.
He was born on January 30, 1913 in Beatrice, the son of William and Margaret (Grabher) Bartlett.
Earl was baptized at the Ellis Methodist Church in Ellis.
He graduated from Diller High School.
Earl married Vivian Mann on October 6, 1934 in Beatrice.
He farmed in the Ellis area until 1959 when he became a custodian at the Diller High School.
In 1969, Earl and Vivian moved to Boulder, Colorado. He was a custodian at the Boulder High School in Boulder until his retirement in 1983.
They moved back to Diller in 1989.
Earl moved to The Kensington in Beatrice in 2009.
He attended the Ellis Methodist Church in Ellis.
Earl collected John Deere Tractors and salt and pepper shakers.
He enjoyed hunting, NASCAR and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Earl is survived by: sons, Arvid Bartlett and Keith Bartlett and wife Cindy; grandchildren, Colby Bartlett, Deanna Bartlett and Sheryl Butts; sisters-in-law, Doris Menke and Letty Phelps; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Vivian Bartlett on July 3, 2002; infant son, Gale Bartlett; granddaughter, Roxanne Lynn Bartlett; sister, Mae Garton; and brothers, George and Lee Bartlett.
Funeral Services on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice.
