Attended Saline County School District #23; 1939 graduate, Friend High School with Normal Teaching Certificate; BA, University pf Nebraska-Lincoln, 1976 School teach area schools for 31 years.

An 81 year member of Friend United Methodist Church. She served as choir director, organist, Sunday school teacher, youth group sponsor, past president of United Methodist Women, Saline County Retired Teachers Association, Saline County Historical Society, Friend Golden Agers, Friend Rebekah Lodge, Awarded Friend Lifetime Citizen of the year in 2000.

Survived by daughter, Arlie Prokop, Friend NE., son and daughter in law, Terry and Gail Prokop, two grandsons Alex and Tony all of Lincoln.

Preceded in death by her loving husband Longin, biological and adoptive parents, three infant siblings, twin sister Colleen Helmink, three brothers Harold, Hayward and John Boggs, three sisters Dorothy Kelso, Elsie Kahler, and Delores Boggs.
