Gray, Gloria 89 July 27, 1926 Jan. 30, 2016 Gloria Mae (Belmore) Gray, 89, died Saturday evening, Jan. 30, 2016. She was a resident of Keizer at Salem Hospital after a short illness. She was born July 27, 1926, in Portland, the first child of Ralph Westly Belmore and Gertrude (Nutter) Belmore. After graduation from Washington High School she worked as a secretary before marrying Bill Dean Gray of Grays Furniture Feb. 14, 1947. Together they raised three children before divorcing in 1972. Gloria attended Portland State University, graduating in 1974, and went on to complete her Ph.D. in Psychology at United States International University in San Diego in 1977. She worked as a psychologist for the U.S. Navy in the alcoholic rehabilitation program, had her own private practice in El Segundo, Calif., and worked into her late 70s for the California State Prison Criminal Rehabilitation program. In 2010, Gloria moved back to Oregon living at Emerald Pointe Retirement Community in Keizer. There she enjoyed playing bridge, quilting and fusion art. Gloria is survived by her younger brother, James W. Bel- more of Lincoln City; children, Roxanne Walstrom of Silverton, Sue Eichenberger of Calabasas, Calif., and Rick Gray of Portland; and granddaughter, Megan Eichenberger of California. Her youngest brother, Ralph Daniel Bel- more, preceded her in death in 2008; father in 1983; and mother in 1979.
