BYICH – Doris Jean, former longtime Belsano resident, went to her new home in heaven June 10, 2014. She was born March 31, 1929, in Belsano, daughter of John and Eva (Lambing) Gressley. She was preceded in death by husband, Louis, in 1999; five Gressley brothers, Gaylord, Denver, Raymond, Forrest and Don; and five Gressley sisters, Becki Jo, Thelma Arlene, Ruth Kathleen, Helen Irene and Doris Jean. She is survived by her son, Nicholas, Belsano, who came home to take care of his mother; daughter, Valerie, Maryland; granddaughter, Ashley, grandson-in-law, Billy Yeager, and new great-grandson, Kolton Quinn; and grandson, Joel, all of Maryland. Jean enjoyed reading and was glad she went on trips with her husband, Lou. A short service was held at the EUB Cemetery, Belsano, the Rev. Clayton Harriger officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Johnstown Humane Society in memory of Sherlock and our new dog, Slick. Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
