Ben was the youngest of 12 children, born in South Dakota to Nathaniel and Caroline Delker.

The family moved to Sheridan, OR where he attended school. In 1941, he enlisted in the Navy and served on a ship in the South Pacific during WWII. Afterward, he returned home, married Arleta Grauer Harper, and they made their home in Buell.

Ben was a lifetime woodworker, farmer, and small motor mechanic. His hobbies included motorcycles, hunting, dory fishing, and a lifelong love of the ocean. He is survived by his son, Steve Delker, his daughter Nancy Coffelt, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Thanks to Heartwood Place and Gentiva Hospice for taking such great care of our Dad.

Graveside services with vault interment will be Monday Oct 5th and 11 AM at Green Crest Memorial Park, Sheridan, OR.
