Suffolk - William Levering Dickinson, 87, of the 100 block of Anna Goode Way, died Thursday, October 3, 2013 in his residence. A native of New Bern, NC, he was a retired service technician for Remington-Rand Equipment Service and Andrews Office Supply. He was a member of Oakland Christian Church, the Air Force Association, and Hampton Roads Radio Control.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Dickinson; three daughters, Kathryn L. Fournier and husband John of Tucson, AZ, Janet L. Southard and husband Robert Stack of Suffolk and Nancy L. Robins and husband Brad Hatfield of Goose Creek, SC; a brother, Paul Atwell and wife Rebecca; five grandchildren, Tabitha Ladin, Wendy Martin, David Southard, Christopher Southard and Anthony Dickinson, fourteen grandchildren; and two very special nieces, Diane MacDonald and Linda Frew.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the skilled care staff at Lake Prince Woods and the loving care of Becky and Sue from hospice.
