Mary Graham Shigley, 97, of Tacoma, formerly of Yakima, died Friday.
She was born in Wallace, N.C. She lived in Wilmington, N.C., Texas, Fremont, Mich., and 20 years in Yakima.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Carhart of Vashon, Wash., and Elizabeth Anderson of Gainesville, Fla.; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Lansing, Mich.
Estes Leadly Funeral Home in Lansing is in charge of the arrangements.

Mary Montgomery Graham Shigley, (97) died in Tacoma, Washington, on November 28, 2008. Mrs. Shigley was born May 4, 1911, in Wallace, North Carolina, one of nine children of Edith Bolles and Benjamin Robinson Graham, M.D.
She grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina and attended St. Mary's Episcopal College in Raleigh. Her husband's career with Dow Chemical Company Texas and later to Michigan. Retirement years were spent near family in Washington.
She was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. Actively involved in both her church and community, she was a founder of a group which became Junior League of Wilmington, NC.
She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Beth and Doug Anderson of Gainesville, FL, and Mary and Whit Carhart of Vashon, WA; six grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Monroe, of 63 years, daughter, Dede Tignor, and grandson, Charles Monroe Binford.
Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery in Lansing, Michigan with Estes Leadley Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Rotary Foundation (One Rotary Center, 1560 Sherman Ave., Evanston, IL 60201); Franciscan Hospice of Tacoma, or a charity of your choice.
