After she began a Master’s degree in counseling, she took a 2-week summer mission trip to “Here’s Life, New York!” Changing the focus of her Master’s work, she moved to New York City permanently in 1988 where she became the first counselor on staff at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, working with pastor & author Tim Keller, and later became the Director of Global Missions for Redeemer, serving as state-side administrator for missionaries around the world.
In 1999, Carol was diagnosed with Non-Hodkins Lymphoma & passed away in 2002, just after her 60th birthday. Carol was a woman who could do anything she ‘put her mind to’.
