Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Basnett, Monday, received a telegram announcing the death of their son, John, a lad of some 17 summers, who was at Topeka under medical treatment. His remains were expressed home and interred in the cemetery Wednesday at Bethel.

John Basnett, who has been for some time in the imbecile school at Winfield died on Sunday. His remains were received here on Tuesday. Funeral took place from the M.E. Church. He was the son of our esteemed citizen, John Basnett.
