Massachusetts Governor, Professional Football Player. A native of Chelsea, Massachusetts, he served as the Governor of Masachusetts fom 1979 to 1983. He also served as a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention from Massachusetts in 1980. Before entering politics, King also played professional football for the Buffalo Bisons from 1948 to 1949, and the Baltimore Colts in 1950.
