Kenneth Ray Allen, 71, of Bronte passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015 in San Angelo.

He was born September 12, 1943 in San Angelo to Raymon and Minnie Adene (Seals) Allen. After high school, Kenneth was a "jack of all trades". He worked as a boot maker, machinist, and spent some time as a ranch foreman. He married Carolyn Smee on December 23, 1967 in San Angelo. They shared 47 loving years together. Kenneth was a faithful member of the 1st Baptist Church in Miles serving as a longtime deacon.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn of Bronte; daughters, Melanie Thomas and husband Kevin of San Angelo, Amy Jones and husband Bryan of San Angelo; siblings, Janell Hall of San Angelo, Glenda Ball of San Angelo, and Pete Allen of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Kaity Thomas, Avery Jones, Will Thomas, Riley Thomas, and Cole Jones; and one great-grandchild Preslee Warriner.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday at First Baptist Church in Miles.

The family would like to give special thanks to the nursing staff of Hospice of San Angelo and Dr. David Cummings and staff. Donations can be made to Hospice of San Angelo or a favorite charity.
