James D. Baldwin, 91, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016 at NMMC-Hospice in Tupelo. He was a World War II Veteran. He was the recipient of two Purple Hearts and a Silver Star.
Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc. Bro. Paul Sims will officiate. Burial will follow in Pontotoc Memorial Gardens. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors: wife of 70 years-Maxine Baldwin; son-Douglas Baldwin(Joann) of Brandon, MS; 3 daughters-Martha Foster(Terry), Kay Vancil(Kenneth) and Donna Gillespie(Jerry) all of Pontotoc; 6 grandsons-Michael Baldwin(Lisa) of Terry, MS, Chris Foster of Pontotoc, Scott Vancil(Markita) of Pontotoc, Chad Gillespie of Pontotoc, Stacy Baldwin(Cory) of Florence, MS, Jim Gillespie(Felicia) of Pontotoc; 4 granddaughters-Tammy McGreger(Mitch) of Pontotoc, Paula Gillespie(Denny) of Cordova, TN, Tina Henderson(Dennis) of Pontotoc, Mendy Pevey(Greg) of Brandon, MS; 17 great grandchildren; host of great great grandchildren and sister-Faye Gentry.
