Mrs. CHARLOTTE CATHERINE ZITTLE, widow of the late Capt. Horatio Zittle, of Middletown Valley, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. William E. Darner, East Third Street, Tuesday afternoon, after an illness of several days, due to bronchitis. She was in her 93rd year and was the daughter of the late Samuel and Margaret Toms, of Middletown Valley.

She spent the early part of her life there, but after the decease of her husband, resided for the last 40 years at Jefferson with her daughter, Miss Irene Zittle. Since last November she has been with Mrs. Darner. She was a member of the Jefferson Lutheran Church.

She is survived by two daughters; Miss Irene Zittle, Jefferson; and Mrs. William E. Darner, this city; one son, William S. Zittle, Omaha, Neb.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sister, Mrs. Richard C. Kefauver, this city.

Services were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. F. Darner; interment was in the Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown; arrangements were by M.R. Etchison and Son, funeral directors.
