FT. WAYNE--Betty J. Ball Schooley, 90, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, August 13, 2007 at Coventry Meadows Healthcare.
Born on Sept. 16, 1916 in Muncie, she was an executive secretary at General Motors for 20 years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Muncie where she was a circle member and of D.M.A. (Don't Mention Age), Baptist Student Foundation at Ball State University, R.S.V.P. Retired Senior Volunteer Program and a bell ringer for The Salvation Army.
She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis (Darrell) Thompson of Ft. Wayne; two sisters, Dorothy J. Ball of Portland, Ore., and Margaret Hoover of Muncie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawarence Schooley; and her parents, Joseph E. Ball and Lillian Eads.
Service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 420 West Wayne St., Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior to service. Chapel service at 2 p.m. in Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie.
