Mary Elizabeth "Betty", 85, of Pensacola was called home to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 07, 2016. She enjoyed gardening, her yard and especially spending time with her great grandkids. Betty was a school bus driver for 25 years and volunteered with West Florida Hospital for 20 years.Preceding her in death was her father, Chapman Levy Creighton; mother, Maggie Elizabeth Merritt; husband, Jake Hatcher, Sr.; husband, Lowell Martin; daughter, Sharon Elizabeth Hatcher; her siblings, Marguriete, Curtis, Portia, Chapman, Jr., Robert "Bobby", Kenneth "Buck" and Joyce. She was the last of eight siblings.Betty is survived by her children, Jake Hatcher (Shelby), Beth Hatcher, Jimmy Hatcher (Cindy); grandchildren, Candice Renfroe (James), Jody Hatcher (Kim), Clifton Furney (Leslie), Carrie Powell, Jason Hatcher-Levinger (Josh), Casey McKinnon (Bryce); great grandchildren, her BABIES, Hunter, Landon, Lily, Griffin, Linly, Mason, Kinsley, Julian and Louis; special friends, Flo Leonard, Barbara Bennett and the West Florida Hospital Valet Team; and her favorite niece, Bobbie Jean.Serving as pallbearers will be, Clifton Furney, Bryce McKinnon, Jody Hatcher, Jimmy Vaughn, Mark Baird and Ned Wilson III. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Vinson and James Renfroe, Sr.The family will receive friends at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel on Saturday, February 13, 2016 with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. and services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will follow in Bayview Memorial Park.We, the family, want to give a special thanks to Covenant Hospice Inpatient and Palliative Care Center for their caring, loving and compassionate care.BAYVIEW FISHER-POU CHAPEL, 3351 Scenic Highway is entrusted with arrangements.
