Dennis Lee Holly, age 66, a life long Portland resident, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 after a short illness.
He was born on March 2, 1949 in Lansing. Dennis is the son of Walter and Phyllis (Koelzer) Holly.

Dennis served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, he enjoyed genealogy, was a contributor to the Portland Historical Society and was an administrator of the Portland Hometown History page. Dennis enjoyed drag racing and classic cars, especially Mopar.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Lana; sons Chris (Sean) Holly of Lansing and Aaron (Brandi) Holly of Mason; grandchildren Camryn, Cole, Aaden, and a granddaughter to be; sisters Jackie (Duane) Wilcox, Diane Russell and Luane (Pat) Goodman;and many special friends, nieces and nephews. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 15, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Rev. Larry King presiding. Military honors will be provided by the Portland V.F.W. Post #4090. The family will receive friends 3-7 p.m., Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland.
