The Mills family evidently moved from South Carolina to Kentucky when Nancy was a small child, as her younger siblings were born there.

Nancy Mills married James Knox in Christian County, Ky, December of 1819.

Mary Janet Knox HILL (Jan.1824 - 1902)
Virginia Knox BEANS (1824-1861)
(Minerva?) Minnie Knox HUTCHINGS

Nancy [or Ann] Mills Knox JACK (1833-1881)

Two more daughters are listed in family trees on RootsWeb.com, Lucy Knox WRIGHT (d.1898) and Margaret Knox DAVIS/DENNIS (b.1832).
