Clayton H. Spring, 76, of 1212 Bancroft Street, retired farmer, died Tuesday in Port Huron Hospital after a short illness.

Mr. Spring was born Feb. 6, 1888, in Deckerville. He and Miss Candace W. Brown were married April 3, 1915.

He attended Sanilac County Schools and was a lifelong resident of the Blue Water District.

Mr. Spring is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Leonard Nunham, Buckeye, Ariz.; three sons, Bruce L. Spring, George W. Spring and Eldon G. Spring, all of Port Huron; a brother, Clarence R. Spring, Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Mrs. Jay Gardner, Durham, Calif., and Mrs. Ruth Smith, Detroit; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The remains are in Pollock-Jowett Funeral Home and will be removed at 11 a.m. Friday to Pilgrim Holiness Church where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Rev. G. V. Skinner, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Croswell Cemetery.
