Mrs. Colonna retired as an assistant manager from C&P Telephone Co. in 1937, after 18 years of service. A member of Baylake United Methodist Church, she was a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Newport News, for 58 years. She was a former member of the Hampton Women's Club and a former volunteer with Sentara Hampton General Hospital for more than 20 years.
Survivors include one son, Shepherd W. Colonna Jr. of Lockeford, Calif., and three granddaughters.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, at Westminster Canterbury Retirement Community, by Chaplain Allen Johnson. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Peninsula Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in Greenlawn Memorial Park by the Rev. Ted David, assisted by the Rev. Sara L. Manner.
