Aria Addison Spelhaug was born to Elisabeth Spelhaug at 5:51 am on January 23, 2016. Elisabeth was 37 weeks pregnant, but it was time. While snow came down outside Aria came out healthy with apgar scores of 9 and 10. All of the airports and most roads were closed. Two days later Aria was ready to come home. We brought her home on still unplowed roads and swaddled her tight most of the time in the beginning. She lived in the home with her mother Elisabeth, Grandmother Jesika, Grandfather Derek, Uncle Justin, and Aunt Lillyanne. She was loved every minute of the day. She was held almost every moment of her little life.

The first week of Aria's little life she was surrounded by everyone. Lilly and Justin were fabulous as aunt and uncle, and so excited. Work and school was cancelled due to the snow. Eventually Grandpa had to go back to work, and Uncle Justin and Aunt Lillyanne had to go back to school, but Aria was blessed because she got both Mommy and Grandma all day, every day. As the snow cleared Aria got visitors, relatives made plans to come see the new baby all the way from California. She got to meet her Great Aunt Sarah. On Aria's original due date, February 12, Great Aunt Sarah and Grandma made Aria a photo shoot and shot her from every angle.

On February 13, the day that Aria was to be 3 weeks old, she simply didn't wake up. She was gone. SIDS had taken her.
