Francis, the estimable wife of John Schaffer, of Lattimer, died on Saturday morning after suffering for two and a half years with rheumatism, aggravated recently by dropsy and paralysis. Deceased was born in Germany March 9, 1832, being at the time of her demise aged 67 years. She came to this country at an early age, and the family has resided in Stockton, Eckley, Highland and Upper Lehigh. For twenty-four years she lived in Lattimer.
Besides her husband the following children survive: Lewis, John, Daniel, Charles, Kate and Mrs. Robert Lee, of Alabama.
She was a member of Grace Reformed church, of this city, where funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Schaffer was a highly respected and well known lady and many friends will be grieved to learn of her death.
