She worked for many years for the Harford County Public Schools in various capacities including: manager of the cafeteria at Forest Hill Elementary and then as a teacher's aide. For over thirty years she was a member of Bel Air United Methodist Church where she was very active. She was also a member of the Emmorton Grange and the Bel Air Golden Agers. Her family said she enjoyed reading and crafts.
Mrs. Coale is survived by her son Ned Coale and his wife, Jean of Bel Air, MD; three sisters, Margaret Rutledge of Bel Air, MD, Mary Phillips of Forest Hill, MD and Lillian Scheppelmann of Havre de Grace, MD; and two grandsons, Michael Coale and Timothy Coale, both of Bel Air, MD.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Dennis Coale.
