Marion C. Bringham
He was born in Nebraska City, Nebraska, October 22, 1857. His father came to Plumas county when he was two years old, and settled at Eureka North as a millwright. In 1861 his father, with Benjamin Bobo, located 320 acres of land ten miles east of Beckwourth, where he remained with his family until 1865, when he sold out his interest, removed to Beckwourth, and built the Bringham hotel, which he owned and managed until 1881. Since that time Marion has been a partner in and manager of the business. He owns a quarter section of land adjoining the town of Beckwourth, while his father owns the farm of 320 acres on which the hotel property stands. July 4, 1877, he was married to Miss Hattie E. Trimble, of Sierra valley, by whom he has had one child, Mabel Jeannette, born October 12, 1879

Marion Bringham Called By Death In Daughters Home
Marion C. Bringham passed away this morning after a lingering illness at the home of his daughter Mrs. T.A. Craine, 919 Foss St. Mr. Bringham was born in Nebraska City, Neb., in 1857 and came to Plumas county with his parents at the age of 3. They were among the first settlers in Sierra Valley. He was married to Harriet Trimble in 1877. She passed away in 1883. He owned the hotel in Beckwourth for a number of years.
He has been a resident of Susanville for 21 years, operating a service station on Richmond road for 8 years.
He is the father of Mrs. Mabel Craine, Susanville; Grace Bringham, deceased; Robert A. Bringham, Los Angeles; Jesse G. Bringham, Vallejo, Calif.
Funeral arrangements pending, waiting to hear from relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Morrill Chapel Thursday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment will be made in the family plot in the Beckwourth Cemetery at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon.

Funeral Services Are Held For M.C. Bringham
Funeral services for Marion Castor Bringham who passed away June 11th were held Thursday morning at 10 p.m. (paper mis-print) in the Morrill Mortuary Chapel. Rev. E.S. Spaulding of the Susanville Baptist Church officiated. Sacred music was rendered on the Chapel Organ by Mrs. C.W. Morrill. Interment was in the Whispering Pines Cemetery near Portola under the direction of the Morrill
Mortuary.
Pall Bearers were: G. Trumble, R. Marden, H. Ross, E. Riss, C. Ross and R. Ross.
