Lillian A. Ramthun, age 90, of Cape Coral, Florida, went home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, November 19, 2015. She passed very suddenly in her home. She was born on December 27, 1924 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Myles and Anna Zinda Panosh. Lillian graduated from Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, with the class of 1942. She continued her education at Manitowoc County Teachers College, where she received a teaching degree. Lillian married Ferdinand J. Ramthun on February 12, 1944 at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She was a member of the Holy Innocents Altar Society. Lillian was a Girl Scout Leader serving the Manitou Council for many years. She also proudly carried the title of Regent of the Daughters of Isabella. Lillian and Ferdy went into partnership with Walter F. Hoeffner Printing Service in 1945, until retiring in 1971. After being a "snowbird" for many years, Lillian and her husband took up permanent residence in Cape Coral, Florida, in 1976. Following a few years of perfecting her "Sanibel Stoop" and filling her garage with numerous varieties of shells, she tried her hand at selling real estate. As with everything she did, Lillian successfully established herself as a Broker/Salesperson with Century 21 AAIM Realty Group, where she achieved high honors for being top salesperson in the South East United States for several years running. She retired in October of 2005. Lillian is survived by her three daughters and two sons-in-law: Linda and Bob Roberts of Montgomery, Texas; Paulette and Dennis Yauger of Two Rivers; Kathleen Soukup of Two Rivers and her special friend, Vince Bast; six grandchildren: Amy and Jonathan Gabel of Cape Coral, Florida; Laura and Ed Weaver of Bowling Green, Ohio; Christine and Eric Thelen of Two Rivers; Elizabeth and Dan King of San Angelo, Texas; Jessica Soukup of Two Rivers; John Soukup and Collin Bernhardt of Madison, Wisconsin; eleven great-grandchildren: Severin and Maverick Gabel of Cape Coral, Florida; Hunter Weaver of Bowling Green, Ohio; Amanda Thelen and her fiancé, Brian Duerschmidt of Two Rivers; Bailey and Tyler Thelen of Two Rivers; Megan, Jocelyn, Abriel and Emily Lasak of East Troy, Wisconsin; Morgan Soukup of Two Rivers; and two great-great-grandchildren: Lexi and Leah Duerschmidt of Two Rivers. Also surviving are very special family friends: Michael and Sara Greenwood of Two Rivers and their children, Emersyn and Hudson; special Florida neighbors who lived on either side of her: Pat Kenny; and Kent Lacey; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Ferdinand; a grandson, Brian Decker; a great-granddaughter, Hayden Thelen; four brothers: Walter Panosh; Joseph Panosh; Harold Panosh; and Myles Panosh; and two sisters: Grace Orth; and Louise Toonen.A memorial Mass and celebration of her life will take place at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter's from 9:30 until the time of service. Cremation has taken place.
