CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - Blanche M. De Los Santos,
"Last of the Mohicans"
as mom often referred to herself.

Mom was born in Brownsville, Texas, November 24, 1920 To Maria Garza and Adrian Mejia, she was one of ten children.

Mom later moved to Corpus Christi, Texas where she met our loving father, Jacinto De Los Santos they were married on December 7, 1947.

Mom finished beauty school as a licensed beautician and soon opened her own business “Blanche’s Beauty Salon” together they raised seven children. Mom was a very active part of the political community in Corpus Christi. There were no strangers in mom’s world she was always willing to help out anyone in need. Growing up in our home was a crazy and fun time. Mom always dragged us to volunteer for the good of the community and church. We were all taught to respect each other and above all love one another no matter what. “Mom, we thank you for being the woman you were and for loving your children unconditionally”. We will always remember your words: "Be nice, be kind, be courteous."
