Henry Owen, 92, of Ozark, died Friday at the Ozark Nursing Home. He was a retired farmer and a Baptist. Son of the late Aaron and Safronia Medlock Owen, he was born April 27, 1891, in Newton County. Mr. Owen was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Kenney Owen. Survivors include three daughters, Celia Wilbourn of Ozark, Ester Aust of Odessa, Texas, and (living) Nixon of Stockton, Calif.; three sons, Harley of Ozark, (living) of Ridgecrest Calif., and Ray of Arkansas; one sister, Mary Hopper of Ozark; one brother, Alfred of Ozark; 28 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Shaffer Funeral Home chapel, with Rev. Delbert Anderson officiating. Burial was in Crocker cemetery. Pallbearers were great-grandsons.
